The standard package is best suited to smaller organisations of fewer than 500 employees.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should my company bother investing in the human side of information security?

Information security is now a business critical issue, and whilst most companies have good technical defences, only 20% of companies have provided staff with cyber security training. This is the case, despite the fact that the most prevalent types of security breach are related to the human factor. In order to fully protect your organisation you need to respond to the threats it faces and equip your staff with the tools to stop accepting them as your weakest link and help them become a core part of your security strategy.

Am I required by law to protect my company’s data?

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) coming into effect in May 2018 levies fines of €20 million or 4% of your annual global turnover, whichever is greater, for non-compliance with the regulation. GDPR governs how businesses gather, process and share personal data of European citizens, this legislation will demand tighter controls and policies, including educating your staff and raising awareness of threats across your organisation. How can I be sure that Hut Six’s training is effective?

We deliver a frequent, measured campaign to your staff, which is constantly monitored by us and your information security managers ensuring that it has the greatest impact possible. We have a good-track record with our clients and have seen a measured improvement across many different types of organisation each with unique requirements.

What is included in my security awareness training?

Our training consists of 26 concise tutorials delievered over the course of a year. We cover all aspects of end-user security and your organisation's specific policies, educating staff to change their behaviour and create a secure culture. The training is delivered via our bespoke Learning Management System and is monitored and administrated through a real-time dashboard. These tutorials are supplemented by a knowledge centre that includes additional information that your users may find useful. Ultimately, we can work with you to include whatever your security awareness needs require.

How often are tutorials delivered?

Our recommended delivery schedule consists of one tutorial every two weeks, in order to keep security at the forefront of your employee’s mind without detracting from engagement. However, there is scope to deliver tutorials at a higher frequency dependent on your organisation's individual requirements.

How do my employees access the tutorials?

Users can access the tutorials using any modern web browser, on their desktop computer or mobile device, by logging in at your organisation's customised URL. We alert users to new or outstanding tutorials via email.

We support the latest versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Apple Safari. In addition to this, we also support mobile browsers within the latest versions of Apple iOS and Google Android.

How much control do I have over the campaign?

We work with you to ensure that we deliver a campaign that matches the needs or your organisation. To that end, we are happy to make changes to how our campaign is structured and delivered to better fit your requirements. We recommend setting up a cross-department feedback group who are able to vett each tutorial as it is released, giving us feedback and direct user engagement.

What happens after the first year?

Once your employees have completed the initial 26 tutorials, they will be placed on a refresher course. Our refresher course delivers one tutorial a month and uses current events and case studies to remind users of best practice without boring them and repeating the same tutorials again. This course is more assessment focused to continually measure the awareness of your organisation after your staff have been introduced to the course material.

What customisations are included?

Organisations can include their own logos and colour scheme into the tutorials and Learning Management System at no additional charge. Organisations of over 500 users can also request small changes to existing tutorials to better fit their policies at no charge.

All organisations will be given a custom URL for their employees to login at. This will be in the format: your-company-name.hutsix.io.

What if I want a bespoke module created?

We are happy to create bespoke modules for our clients. You should discuss this with us when discussing your organisation's individual requirements.

Can I add more users throughout the year?

Yes, additional users are charged at the same rate as any other user. You can also re-use licenses in the event that some of your employees leave your organisation.
